Theory Therapy 87: Jetty

Effervescent sounds from Bushwick, NYC

The next Theory Therapy mix comes from the always-interesting producer Jetty. Last year he released Jetty+ on OST, featuring Ben Bondy, Organ Tapes, and other collaborators, alongside a handful of late-2025 releases worth exploring. This mix, pieced together at his desk in Bushwick, drifts between recent favourites and older ideas — as he puts it, “trying to have fun and not think too hard”. Best enjoyed on early mornings or late-night walks.

I don’t think like that…but I wish I did

What’s something you’re quietly proud of right now – music or otherwise, big or small?

Not too worried about time anymore

Is there a song or record you feel you’ll sample one day – something that keeps circling back, even if the context isn’t clear yet?

Probably not, I usually sample everything that comes to mind immediately… I do want to do a full-on cover of Bon iver Re stacks so maybe that this year

Are there local parties, spaces or collectives that have shaped your relationship with dance music where you live?

I haven’t felt specifically romantic about the dance floor in a minute, but I also haven’t raved out in a bit either so I need to get on that

Have any experiences outside of music filtered into your sound lately?

Easy to say yes but when I think about it, not so sure - a lot of the time I just make beats. I’m sure whatever is going on in my life makes a difference but only in abstract.

Talk us through your Theory Therapy mix – where it came together and what kind of space you were in mentally or musically.

At my desk in my room 💯 Splicing together music that I love as of late, with some old ideas, and an excerpt of an old unpublished mix.. trying to have fun and not think too hard ..
