Where do you most enjoy listening to music?
Probably in the car. I often drive long hours and I really enjoy it, especially when I have something to listen to I could easily drive for a long time. There’s something nice about driving around and just listening to music without a screen or any interruptions. Also my car has a pretty good sound system lol
What’s the best music discovery you’ve made recently?
I recently discovered Marco Schiavoni by chance while looking for new music. He’s a theatre composer who has been active since the 80s, and he actually lives in my city, which is quite a remote place. I listened to some of his work and got really curious about his catalogue. I’d love to meet him at some point.
Talk us through your Theory Therapy mix – where it came together and what kind of space you were in mentally or musically.
When I have the chance to record a mix in a studio, I like to approach it almost more like composing. I was already thinking about recording a new one, so your invitation came at just the right time. I had accumulated quite a lot of music and just wanted to put some of it together. I chose a lot of tracks that are somehow connected to me, some from friends and people I know, and others that I’ve been listening to lately. I just tried to put them together and see where would it take me.
Where would you recommend listening to it?
Somewhere chill and calm, where you can take the time to listen to the whole thing.
